A season of purpose is a season of change. It is a season that will transform your present situation into a destiny moment...For several people in the Bible when God wanted to release them into their greatness, their names had to be changed. Their names had to reflect the new season or the new thing God was doing in their lives. Their past identities were no longer suited for their current status or future destiny. Abram became Abraham. Jacob became Israel. Saul became Paul. Their new names were instrumental in identifying the newly released destiny of God.2
For every season God takes us through, there is a character change. If we do not embrace this change; then we permit our past to keep us in captivity.
There is always a new “name” for the new season.
“…For as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth
her children.” Isaiah 66:8
The sooner you get in the birthing position; the sooner life will be birthed through you. You must be properly positioned if you want the destiny of God to be birthed in your life. Too many Christians are improperly or inappropriately positioned...If you want God to birth greatness through you, then there must be a season of travail.
God impregnates every generation with a new move of God. Therefore, being in the birthing position gives opportunities for the will of God to be released...In the Greek the word “travail” means to labor, painful effort. It stresses the toil involved in work; birth pang, and to agonize.
There is nothing that is worth achieving that comes easily. The question you need to ask yourself today is how bad do you want your blessing?

Your Destiny Determines Your Warfare
To win any type of war, there has to be an understanding of war. We must know who, what, when, where, and most of all, why we are fighting. If God has singled an individual out for greatness, know that there will be an increase in spiritual warfare for this person. This is the way I define it -- little destiny, little warfare; big destiny, big warfare.
If you are going through hell constantly in your life, know it is because God has a great destiny for you. God has greatness in your bowels. It has nothing to do with your nice clothes, hairstyle, pretty shoes, designer suits or luxury car. But it has everything to do with your destiny. Your destiny determines your warfare.

As a writing consultant and Vice President of Jabez Books Writers’ Agency, our company have had the privilege over the past 10 years of assisting over 40 authors in writing, editing, printing, and marketing their books. And it is out of this pilgrimage that the text within the pages of this book has been fostered and penned.
The ability to assist people in such a worthy task is nothing less than extraordinary. However, this type of project has within its tenets the power to not only to succeed, but the power to fail. Writing a book is a significant feat, but the execution journey of an excellent finished product, within the self-publishing industry, is declining more and more each year. In addition, there are so many people unaware of the correct process as well as the many facets of self-publishing a book.
After seeing so many authors struggle with self-publishing a book, and how to do it correctly, we, Jabez Books, felt compelled to write a resource tool to help potential authors through the process. The goal of this book is identify the common mistakes most self-publishers make and to share insight on how to avoid them.
As we were brainstorming and compiling a list, 18 mistakes were identified. Here are the biggest mistakes self-publishers make:
MISTAKE #1: Writing the book for you instead of for your readers
If you are planning to write a book, and you want other people to buy and read it, then you must write the book with your readers in mind. It must be a book written intentionally to bring or add value to your readers’ life and not just yours. If not, then you are wasting your time if you are expecting people to buy it.
So often people write books unwittingly to themselves. Then they wonder why it is not selling. Da???...you wrote it for you and not for the reader. Let me say it colloquially, “It’s not going to happen.” Your book sales will be limited when you do this and/or your selling market will be very short-lived. You must always remember, if you want other people to buy your book, then you must write with them in mind.
Here are some questions you need to ask yourself before writing a book:
1. Do I really have a story to tell?
2. If I do, is it for me or for the masses?
3. Why do I want to share it with others?
4. Is it the right time to release this type of book?
5. How will it affect the readers'’ lives?
6. What is my overall objective for this book?
